Tofu fonts aim to support as many languages as possible. Our standard Complete Glyph Set guarantees that 218 Latin-based languages are fully covered. Highly decorative or experimental fonts may have lesser support, though. The full list of supported languages is in the Glyph Set Standards section.

Alternatively, you may want to use a Tofu typeface but need additional glyphs or custom modifications to fit your project. Typeface expansion is an option too—and likely cheaper than the bespoke alternative.

EULA stands for End User Licence Agreement. It’s a document included with each purchase that details the rights and restrictions on your fonts and what ways you’re allowed to use them. You should always keep a copy of it to refer back to.

OpenType features unlock new ways for you to utilize a typeface. A few of the most common are ligatures (which connect two colliding letters with a solved letterform), small caps (used to set uppercase letters naturally in body copy), fractions (1 1/2 appears as 1 ½), and stylistic sets (which can drastically alter the way an entire typeface looks).

Adobe Illustrator

Illustrator has a dedicated OpenType panel, located under Window > Type > OpenType. If you don’t see all features listed, additional settings can be accessed through the hamburger menu in the top right corner.

Adobe InDesign

InDesign does a good job of hiding the OpenType panel. First, you must go to Window > Type & Tables > Character and open the Character panel. Selecting the hamburger menu in the top right corner (of the Character panel) will expose a few features along with another menu called OpenType that holds the remaining settings.

Affinity Publisher

OpenType support for Affinity Publisher is listed in the Typography panel. Go to Text > Show Typography to view the range of features available in the font.

Microsoft Word

OpenType features can be accessed in Word by selecting the text you want to alter and hitting ⌘+D. Under the Fonts tab, you’ll be able to activate small caps, all caps, superscripts and subscripts. Select the Advanced tab to access more features, such as ligatures, numeral types, contextual alternates, and stylistic sets.
